In general, a growing list of events is okay. But you need to look at the impact beyond it. Does analysis work with it? Where else are the events used? Are people happy? Can they do their job?
Hi Timo! How can I explain in a simple way that implementing events in a mobile app (logevents) is different and easier than implementing events in a website via DL. This in terms of web analytics - GA4.
Great read. Thanks for this!
Thanks.
Curious to know what's the worse event name you've seen and how have you dealt with this?
That is easy - a chain of acronyms only the data team could decipher.
I asked them to post it via Slack and ask people what it means with expected results.
To be fair - they were trying to manage far too many events that stakeholders were requesting and that was their way of managing the chaos.
😹 ! Wow that's a good one. Yeah I guess, it's typical in many organisations, we're also dealing with a growing list of events.
